An exquisite star, intense and passionate, elegant yet vibrant. Effortlessly pursuing the rich heritage of Kathak, Rashmi is simply poetry in motion! Trained by the legendry Shri Harishchandra Rawat, Rashmi is fluent in Jaipur as well as Lucknow gharanas of Kathak. Whether it’s the intricate footwork, fast chakkars (twirls) or delicate expressions through abhinaya, Rashmi is par excellence. The multi-talented dancer has not only won numerous accolades and awards but has won hearts of people across the globe. She has conducted workshops, been honored as a judge in various cultural events and invited to perform in prestigious functions like the MLK Day celebrations in New Jersey. As a dancer and an accomplished choreographer, she has redefined the ethos and vocabulary of Kathak. Distinctive improvised dance style that suits the current generation.

Other instructors

Gayatri is a young prodigy who has been under the tutelage of Rashmi for the past 5 years. During this period she has given a number of performances at state festivals in New Jersey and in India.

When she is not busy with her school work you will find her helping out Rashmi.
